Andree Watters www.AndreeWatters.com
New bomb shell released by VIK records. She's a little reminiscent of Avril Lavigne the francophone version. She does have her own style though she's a little more rock and less punk than here anglo counterpart. Andree has an amazing stage presence and really captures her audience. Her first single, Dependre de toi from her album AW is also on heavy rotation on local radio and TV stations. All in all, she offers her listeners some good, modern rock.
She has no concert planned for Montreal in the next little while.

Born in Paris and raised in Morocco and Montreal, Vai started his Hip Hop career in 1994 as member of the duo LMDS (yeah, they sucked, but you have to start somewhere) and signs his first record deal 1997. Pissed-off with the lack of creative freedom, LMDS dissolves - screams of joy are heard throughout the city - and Vai dedicates his time to beat creations and musical arrangements. In 2000 he finally meets the people at THCmusic (his soon to be label) who fully support him. With the collaboration of some of the pillars of French rap (le rap, as they say) - Freeman, K'Rhyme Le Roi and DJ Majestic, his new album, Street Life, was released on April 29th - pick it up in stores now.
Check him out on June 11 at Club Beliza (410 Rachel E.) at 9 pm

Sans Pression www.Sans-Pression.com
Sans Pression (minus Ti-Kid), the group that started the Franglais trend that has disappointingly dissolved in a common diatribe of verbal diarrhea by less talented MCs, has come out with a new album on May 27th (the official release is June 11th). And he's come back with a vengeance at that too! The first single Derriere Mon Sourire is playing on heavy rotation at Musique Plus and mirrors the first album like a charm, which, in this case, is a good thing.
Go check out his album launch at Club Soda (1225 Saint Laurent) on June 11
