Malik Shaheed still knows how to party. Many of you probably know him through his work on MusiquePlus (Canada’s francophone music station), but Malik is also known as one of Montreal’s top concert and party promoters. Founder of Versatile Entertainment, he organized and hosted parties for the likes of Denzel Washington, Wyclef, and Prince. Malik also arranged concerts and tours for A Tribe Called Quest, The Fugees, Craig Mack, Mobb Deep, LL Cool J and hosted shows for artists such as Eminem and Snoop.
Starting out in High School as a Social Activities Coordinator, he soon after organized Rap Shows at Champlain College. From there on he became Social Director for the Undergraduate Business Games at university, and, upon graduating, joined MusiquePlus. Being a producer, VJ, host, and reporter at North America’s premier francophone music station, Malik Shaheed now increasingly focuses his energy on his TV career.
Even though his parties might be less frequent, he certainly hasn’t lost any of his touch. Besides organizing musical tours, Malik Shaheed still throws parties every now and then…and then, watch out! His Mardi Gras Fiesta Tour started on the 12th of March and will visit a number of clubs in three different provinces.
