August in Montreal
That’s pretty vague you would say, but that’s pretty big I would say. August the ultimate sleepy-humidly-scorching month in Montreal.
August is the month when you should get your fill of terasses, of sun, of water, of beaches.
August is the month when you should live out your summer fantasies.
If living fantasies isn’t enough for you, you could always hit the Osheaga Festival the first week end of August. For terasses, the time-proven classics of St-Elisabeth, St-Sulpice and Les Foufounes (yes, they do have a terasse in the back) will be sure bets.
For your weekly mix of music, hit the Piknic Electronik, rocking Parc Jean-Drapeau every Sunday of the month with some techno beats: you can bring your own canned beer and food to devour. And on the 30th opf August, to finish the month in style, Picnic Electronik will host a Ninja Tune piknic, not to be missed.
For sun and sand, Oka Beach is the closes you’ll get to that here; and for the free minded spirits out there, there is also a nudist beach next to Oka Beach.
Finally, if you’re more of the sports or extreme sports type, hit the mountain bike and the downhill bike trails at Bromont, which also has an aquatic park.
But really, the most important thing is to get out there, enjoy the sun and Montreal's summer while it’s here.
It's your turn now. So speak-up.
