| Originally located on Queen-Mary, this place started out as the University of Montreal’s “official” bar – hence the name. It decided to move downtown, near one of the city’s most happening street corners and is one of the most happening French places in town. Its well-known regular nights (Retro-Tuesdays, Hit-me Thursdays, X-large weekends and Francophone Sundays) have become a tradition and attract tons of people. They play a wide variety of music, from rock to hip hop and from 80's music to Quebec folk and their specials are equally amazing. They also have a whole bunch of other cool nights that you can check out here. There’s also a show bar on the first floor (officially called Le Petit Campus) which boast tons of great concerts – including their now famous Blues series. |

I posted a 10 last time, but il switch to 6, here what happened, I was dancing and talking to girl then a bouncer went to me and told me about something like i dint pay to put my coat in the coatroom, wich really surprised me because i left my coat in my car. i went to the coatroom they told me its fine. Then 10 minutes later, while i was talking to a girl they tell me i dint pay at the bar twice. Problem is they say i dint pay at the bar the is to the left side, but i only bought cocktail and smirnoff at the other bar, hours before the coat thing. They dint tell me anything else and kicked me out. I know that it is an isolated incident, but i go there every weekend, and i know the bouncer they even give me high five and i also talk to the dj before each night, and i have an ideitic memory capable of remembering even the number of spotligh there were on the ceiling visible from the uper left corner (60 stationary with 8 that can rotate, the lower main bar was with 50 bottle on display, i could even tell you what song they played and in what order but even that there are song that i dont know what they are) but anyway, I remember every detail that i did and i paid the only two drink that i took, but even if it was an error on the person, they say i did it twice and that i was warned, but they warned me for a coat thing. Really dissapointed because usually, they are really great.

I go every week.
it`s one of the best party places,and i never get fed up of it.
Pitchers are 5$ before 11 on saturday and free entrance before 11.The bouncers are nice and I never wait to get it.

Cheap drinks, long line-ups (approx. 1 hr), music all over the place (pop, rock, dance, hip-hop, quebecois, 80s ... etc), somewhat dirty, somewhat of a meat market, about 7:3 ratio of francophones to anglos. Not a bad club but don't expect much.
