| Located on Saint Denis and Mont Royal, the place is more Diable than Vert, meaning that the whole bar is a sea of red, with no green in sight at all. This place is typical of Saint Denis – a bar with a dance floor with a small cover charge. The place really has something to offer that I can’t quite put my finger on – maybe it’s the retina numbing amounts of red or maybe it’s the intricate mechanism they’ve set up for the coat check (looks like mechanical engineering might be useful to humankind after all – who would of known?) or it may simply be the great all night specials they have on alcohol…Whatever it is, make this a regular stop in your bar-hop schedule. |

Me and my friends were in Montreal for 6 weeks, we were taking a french course, and we went to many places but our favorite was always Au Diable Vert!!! We loved it and miss it a lot !!!!!!!!!

Au Diable Vert has got to be the best place in Montreal, there is nothing bad u can say about this place, barely any line up (not on Fridays at least), no bitches, no wannabe players. everyone just goes there to have a good time, and ohhh what a time it is. Its simply a breath of fresh air from those stuck up places one Crescent or the Main. Everyone has to go there at least once, u dont know what ur missing.

The place is awesome. All red, with just enough bar and just enough club, and not too much of either. The bartenders are awesome, and the drinks are cheap. My friend called in ahead of time to see what we could manage for my 19th birthday and the manager not only let me and my party of 9 in free of charge (i think the cover than night was like 6$)but bought me and my friend who called a round of drinks on the house. They play everything you want to hear from sublime to outkast the the beastie boys, and the dj is very friendly! A definate must-see
