This is a good place to go to even if you are not a drunk Irish. It is one of the bigger Irish Pubs in Montreal, situated just below Sainte-Catherine on Crescent Street, Hurley’s has two levels that include a fireplace, a game room and a quiet snug. The terrasse (patio) is not extraordinarily big, but the inside of the Pub is very nice indeed. There are some comfortable seats in front of the fireplace for those in need of cuddling and human warmth. For the rest of us normal people who suffer from an emotional (and physical) attachment disorder, there is plenty of space to join the common folks at the bars or at one of the many tables. Just don’t try to pull this off on a Saturday night; chances are you might find yourself standing. As for the choice of alcohol: there is enough for everyone. Hurley’s has a choice of 18 draft beers, 11 bottled beers and a selection of more than 40 single malts and 8 whiskeys. This alone should guarantee a good night. In case you are not Irish, or you simply don’t like alcohol, you can always order some food, sit down at a table and listen to one of live-bands that play at Hurley’s every night.
Music mainly folk, some rock (whadya want? It’s an Irish pub) Hotness factor 5/10
Prices average Chill Factor 7/10
Best Days Party Factor 8.5/10
Pictures Dress Code no, but they might give you a discount if ya wearin’ some puke-trenched green

I am from Montreal and you might wanna csdoiner Quality Inn Downtown, Novotel Montreal Centre or Best Western Europa Downtown. All these hotels are really well located and affordable. And I also suggest you go take a look on Expedia.com. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Always a must-hit pub when I'm in the city. Well-poured pints, friendliest staff, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The music usually puts a smile on my face as well.

Go there on wednesdays, the band is always the same good one. a little trio with that guy that plays all sorts of flutes. HE IS AMAZING to hear. A place to hang out with some friends to have a beer a listen to music or simply eat.

Forget it! Just went in for a quick pint but it ended off being an ordeal. The place is definately a gathering spot and easy to find with a pretty good decour (the lay-out of the "house" makes it difficult to get around with small passages and small rooms) but the MANDATORY purse and coat check (that you MUST pay for) and the sometimes oppressive security made the experience more of a nickel and diming affair than a true "pub" experience. Go across the street - much more fun at those pubs!

I love Hurley's as a party starter. It's a little expensive, but it's a great hangout and a fun time for all.

This Pub was the pubs of all pubs. If you want a place to chill in this city it's here. The staff treats you like a regular this first time you walk in the door. The food is excellent (try the Hurley's Club, trust me and their Cider. Even if you're not a cider fan pick one up). Awesome live music awsome atmosphere. Have fun. I did!
