My two buddies and I stumble into Pistols with a few pints already under the belt…the party must go on! Standing by the bar among other party-goers and luckier romantic duos, we order 3 pints and head for the foosball table – we recruit a young lady from Toronto to play a two-on-two…the game is on. Situated on the bustling Saint-Laurent/Pine street corner, Pistols is perfect for almost every situation; from drunken fools like us, to birthday parties and casual dates…the relatively new venue attracts everyone from the see-and-be-seen crowd, to the more down to earth. Their décor is simple and they even have a subtle tribute to 007 (the original Dr. Smooth). Any reproaches you ask? First, the bouncer can be annoying – if the place is remotely packed, you’ll have a hard time getting in, no matter how much cleavage you have showing; and two, they don’t have an “official” liquor license so you’ll have to order some food with the drinks…not that it is expensive – just annoying.
The music is cool, and they occasionally have a DJ cranking out some tunes. Also, you can order some refreshing martinis with your – speaking of its diversity – meal; they have a pretty tasty menu. |

This place is a chill place to go before clubbing. You get a couple of drinks, talk, eat...it's relax! Play a game of foosball and just enjoy. The only downside is that it's a little crowded

So this bar is icky.
Yes, icky.
You go in, there's some asshole cougar staring down your throat, you tell it to fuck off and order a drink, they make you get some shitty food.
Ugh... I don't like this bar OR this city.
Sorry for the bias, but thats just how I feel.
The booze was alright though. And the cougar was kinda cute, so it wasn't a complete loss.
