Phillips Lounge is a classy business-style lounge in the heart of a historic part of Montreal, which otherwise has few other bars or nightlife spots to offer. This historic district is the small and beautiful park on St-Catherine, in front of the Bay, called the Phillips Square (from which the lounge takes its name).
Tucked on the street level of an old grey-stone building, the lounge's decor lives up to it's building and surroundings. The place is perfect for business meetings, corporate parties, or after-work chilling and 5 a 7 with colleagues.
The space is well used, and authentic art works hang on the walls. A large windows opens-up to whole space on to the street. Designer lampshades hang over the long bar.
Surprisingly, for such a classy space, the drinks are reasonably priced. And because you can't drink without eating something, Phillips Lounge serves all the cheeses, olives, charcuteries and other small food items that make alcohol so much more pleasant.
An important touch, on Friday nights a live DJ spins some chill electronic beats, perfect for lounging.
